Approach and methodology

Periodization is used to properly synchronize training activities during multiple phases and cycles.

From macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles.  The training approach is designed to correctly define the different phases an athlete must go through:

  • Off-season training
  • Pre-season training
  • In-season training

The science of sport teaches us that first a foundation of general physical preparedness must be developed and maintained, followed by specific physical preparedness for a particular sport or activity to allow athletes to perform at their best.

Certain training methods and philosophies can be applied during specific phases and cycles of training in order to maximize performance gains.
